7 – Drink as much water as possible. Limit the amount of sodas that you consume. Diet sodas are a good substitute but can promote a need for sugar by the body, leading you to snack on other unhealthy foods.

8 – Try to eat slowly. Whenever you eat something your body takes time to register that you have consumed energy and are full. So if you eat quickly you can eat more than you need or really want.

9 – If your having carbohydrates try to make them whole grains. These take longer to digest and keep you feeling full for longer.

10 – Plan your meals. If you plan ahead you are far less likely to snack on other unhealthy foods. Also if you shopping list is done in advance it will stop you picking up foods that are fattening.
